Time Flies

It been 10 years since I first moved to London for my college. I just recalled all the great childhood days. After graduating from high school how I moved to a new place where I learned so much that I never did before while living under my parents roof. I met some great people, I did really good in my college, I had some bad experiences but they all teach you something at the end. When I was mugged a few times. My first serious crush on my cousin and her claiming at the end that she always thought of me as her brother (LOL thats so embarasing). The first time I went to a night club. The last time I ever smoked a cigrette (I was a occational smoker). The scary noice of the fast moving trains on the station. Its London and I just love everything about that city.

Good old days...in fact the best days of my life. I wish there was a rewind button in my life and I could just go back and live those days again. The freezing winter and me waiting for hours for my bus to arrive. My first job working at McDonald and my dads reaction over it. I am just writing it here and smiling thinking about those days.

Today when I look back at those days and say omg its really been 10 years!!!! It all looks like yesterday when I was a 18 year old Amu who was never into studies and went to London to study there because my parents wanted me to stand out in the family.

I've noticed this about most people, how living abroad added allure to their life, I wonder why. Might be because of the social depends put upon a person in their home country. Ah, well.
At the time you mentioned, I was living in Portsmouth, a 2 hour drive from London. It was quiet and lovely, would surely move back to England for my Ph.D. :)

wallah your post struck too close to home...right now, all i can think about is when i first started my high school and how it was supposed to be the bigggest thing in my life, but here i am, 7 years later, and i look back at how insignificant that was in the light of all these new things that have been happening =)
