Is Kuwait For Kuwaitis
With all due respect to the citizens and expatriates of Kuwait.
Scrolling through the news papers and reading the events during the National and liberation Day celebrations. Seeing the joy on people face makes me happy to see the citizens enjoying them self. I have never seen any where in the world people celebrating the national and liberation day in such a way. The heart of every citizen and expatriate is filled with love for this country.
But something makes me think 'Is Kuwait only for Kuwaitis' ? When I look into the news papers I see the pictures of citizens only! Why don't we show that foreigners are part of this celebration? When I read an article in the newspaper it only says that citizens loved and enjoyed this event. Why don't we mention foreigners too? When I say foreigners they don't have to be a particular national of any country. They can be from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, UAE or UK, USA and China too. Are foreigners not part of this great country? Though we see a lot of other nationals in the ma9eera too.
This thought came in my mind today morning and I felt like sharing :)
Good Day!
p.s: Don't get me wrong here. I love Kuwait. Its my country. I love everything I have got and every person in this country.

and halo i disagree with you , not only kuwaities celebrate the national day , even the foreigners , ive seen americans n british celebrate in maseeras , i even saw lots of saudi and qatari cars celebrating n spraying foams , egyptians indians , so many nationalities , so yes i disagree with you
they change everything , they never write anything that is true , actually maybe they do but rarely
get urself an interview with alwatan or alrai newspaper or any other newspaper and see how they change everything u say , its like they never interviewed u
most of the kuwaities fled kuwait :P they dont like it anymore
Foreigners who have come to Kuwait, came for means of living.
The celebration of independence is actually celebration of NO DEPENDENCE and that dependence mattered more to Kuwaities than anybody.
So, hell ya, why foreigners celebrate IN-DEPENDENCE OF KUWAIT ?

I aint counting that minority (who are here for reasons apart from currency) who are infinitesimally small compared to the majority foreigners.

Have nothing interesting to say abt this, sorry.
I know tons of foreigners who go out and celebrate.....I used to be one of them until it got to be sooo mas5ara! Now its not worth it anymore! :( Such a shame.
1-Some Kuwaitis are NOT celebrating the National & Liberation days, they're using them as an excuse to make asses of themselves and spray everyone on the streets.
2-Some non-Kuwaiti GCC citizens come to Kuwait NOT to celebrate with the Kuwaitis, but to make asses of themselves here, because in their countries, they'd be arrested & fined for the same actions!
3-Some Foreigners join in the crowded streets just to see others making complete asses of themselves, and post some media on Youtube & Flickr for the rest of the world to see just how crazy Kuwait has become.
True patriotic festivities should be when everyone, local and expatriate, join together under a unified banner of patriotism, respecting each other and themselves, and thanking God for the blessing that is Kuwait, and for the privilege of being part of such a great country. I don't see these crowds that clog up Gulf Road at any of the state-sponsored events like the ones in Sabhan or the districts...why is that, I wonder?
Spraying everyone with hair remover and urine is not celebration, it's childish and completely unrelated to Patriotism.
What would expatriates feel for KUWAITs Liberation/Independence Day.
I don't think expatriates need to celebrate Kuwait's Liberation/Independence Day.
Just for greetings is OK and being a part of sharing the good tide is OK too.
Not fucking spraying shit !!
